To the west: Cumbria

England’s highest market town, Alston, a quaint little town with cobbled streets.

In another half an hour you’ll reach Penrith and then you’re at Ullswater and the Lake District.

To the North:  Northumberland

Head up the Dale and turn right over to St. John’s Chapel and Weardale.  Here you’ll find lots to do and see and it’s also on the way up to Hadrians Wall in Northumberland.

To the south:  Yorkshire

You are within easy reach of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and all it has to offer.

To the east: Durham Newcastle 

You’re about an hours drive away from the east coast and also from the historic city of Durham and vibrant Newcastle.
